Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Coloroom and the services connected to coloroomhair.com use cookies and similar technologies. Read it with our Privacy Policy. You can update your advertising measurement preference through Privacy Choices.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in a browser. They can help a website function, remember settings, understand activity, and measure advertising.

Coloroom also uses browser session storage and measurement technologies such as tags and pixels. This policy refers to these technologies as cookies when the distinction does not affect the explanation.

How Coloroom uses cookies

Coloroom uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • operate and secure the website;
  • remember privacy choices;
  • understand how people find and use the site;
  • measure campaign performance, including page views and engagement;
  • understand the recruitment and booking journeys;
  • prevent duplicate application-completion events; and
  • measure advertising when marketing measurement is enabled.

Cookie categories

Essential cookies

Essential cookies support website security, form operation, network management, and other functions required for the site to work. These cookies cannot be disabled through Coloroom's Privacy Choices control.

Coloroom uses ss_marketingCookiesAllowed to remember whether a visitor allows marketing measurement. This preference is stored for up to one year. It may expire sooner when the setting changes or browser data is cleared.

Squarespace may set other essential cookies based on the features used on a page. It may also use a cookie to remember that a visitor acknowledged the cookie notice.

Analytics and performance cookies

Analytics cookies help Coloroom understand website traffic and interactions. They may collect a browser identifier, approximate location, device and browser details, referral information, pages viewed, and general engagement activity. Standard website analytics may remain active when marketing measurement is turned off.

Squarespace may use:

  • ss_cid: Identifies unique visitors and sessions. Typical duration: 2 years.
  • ss_cpvisit: Identifies unique visitors and sessions. Typical duration: 2 years.
  • ss_cvisit: Identifies a visitor session. Typical duration: 30 minutes.
  • ss_cvr: Identifies unique visitors and sessions. Typical duration: 2 years.
  • ss_cvt: Identifies a visitor session. Typical duration: 30 minutes.

Google Analytics 4 may use:

  • _ga: Distinguishes users. Default duration: 2 years.
  • _ga_<container-id>: Maintains session state. Default duration: 2 years.

Browser restrictions or provider settings may shorten these durations.

Google Tag Manager helps load and manage measurement tags without setting its own cookie. Services loaded through it may use cookies or send measurement data according to their configuration.

Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies help Coloroom understand whether advertising led to a website visit or another measured action. Coloroom uses Meta Pixel for advertising measurement on coloroomhair.com.

Meta may use:

  • _fbp: Identifies a browser for advertising measurement and site analytics. Typical duration: 90 days.
  • _fbc: Stores information associated with a visit from a Meta advertisement when that information is available. Typical duration: 90 days.

Meta may use other cookies when a visitor is logged into Facebook or Instagram. This may also occur when someone interacts with Meta content or uses other Meta products. Meta controls those cookies and may change them.

Marketing measurement runs by default unless a visitor turns it off through Privacy Choices or the browser sends a recognized Global Privacy Control signal. Turning it off prevents Coloroom's Meta advertising tags from measuring future visits in that browser. The control also removes _fbp and _fbc cookies that Coloroom can access on coloroomhair.com.

The choice applies to the browser and device where it is made. It may need to be set again after cookies are cleared or when another browser or device is used.

Embedded and external content

Some pages display or link to Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps, Zenoti, Aveda, or other services. A connected provider may set cookies or receive information about an interaction, depending on its settings and the visitor's browser.

Another website's cookie and privacy policies apply after a visitor follows a link away from coloroomhair.com.

Recruitment session storage

Coloroom uses browser session storage during the recruitment process. Session storage normally clears when the browser tab or session ends.

The recruitment process may store:

  • cr_recruitment_attribution_v2: Preserves campaign source, medium, campaign, creative, campaign ID, and the associated job during the session.
  • cr_recruitment_pending_v2: Temporarily records that a valid application submission is moving to the confirmation page.
  • cr_recruitment_complete_v2: Prevents the same completed application from being counted more than once during the session.

This session storage does not contain names, contact information, resumes, or answers typed into an application.

Managing cookies and advertising measurement

Use Privacy Choices to turn Coloroom's marketing measurement on or off. The website's essential functions and standard analytics will continue to work when marketing measurement is off.

Coloroom also recognizes Global Privacy Control for marketing measurement. When a browser sends this signal, Coloroom's Meta advertising tags remain blocked even if the marketing measurement checkbox is selected.

Visitors can also block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how the website or connected services function.

Changes to this policy

Coloroom may update this Cookie Policy when the website or connected services change. A change to the privacy controls may also require an update. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
